Grayson is 9 months! Seriously it's crazy. It's gone by fast but kinda feels like we've always had him. He's sweet and totally a mama's boy right now. He's hit the stranger danger age and cries a lot of the time when I leave (He's usually fine once I'm out of sight). He is such a good little eater. He eats pretty much everything and I've started just feeding him stuff we eat for our meals which is convenient. He's also cutting at least two teeth on the top and they won't come thru so sleeping hours have been few and far between. He wants to nurse ALL the time. I'm totally done with that at a year. I nursed Owen a lot longer, but he never bit!
Owen is so close to turning three and I have to say that it should be "terrible threes" not twos. He seriously has been trying my patience lately. He's so independent so when he doesn't get his way, it is not pretty. He also kinda likes to pick on his brother and not listen to his mom....so frustrating. Plus, I'm like his least favorite person as of late. He ALWAYS wants daddy, or grandma, or anyone around that's not mom. Oh well, I just hope he grows out of it and loves me again :) However, he turned a corner this week in the potty department and decided it's fine to poop in the toilet! YAY! Now if only he'll night train we'd be set (I'm not too concerned about this. I read it can take a lot longer than day training, especially for boys.) He's been super funny too. On Sunday at church we were singing the closing hymn in Sacrament and he says, "NO, I don't wanna go to nursery" Then as we were walking out to go to classes he says, "Wanna go night night...I'm sick" HAHAHA. He already knows how to get out of things! (except he did eventually go to nursery). He also often tells me "I'm sick. I need soup."
Mother's Day was nice. Andy did all my laundry (which isn't new, he does it every week. Lucky me) and did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen (That was nice...he hates doing the dishes). And I got some spa treatments which are always nice. And, as usual, we had dinner at my parent's and the boys made dinner. I really am so thankful that I get to celebrate mother's day with my two special boys. It's hard work for sure, but definitely the best, most rewarding work I'll ever do. I can only hope that I can do my job so that my kids will grow up with the same kind of love and respect that I have for my mother! How blessed our family is to have two wonderful grandma's that are so loving and giving.
We haven't gotten to plant a garden yet or anything really fun because we have had to tear up/redo the west side of our yard due to a misunderstanding of our property boundaries and a less-than-reasonable neighbor (to say the least). It'll be good though because we will have a really nice privacy fence that runs all the way thru our next door neighbor's yard along the canal so I don't have to worry about my kids as much. And the kiddos are gonna get a new sandbox because of the stuff we had to tear up. It's just been a pain for Andy, but it's almost done and for that I'm grateful.
Andy is starting a new job in June with Vivint. It's an awesome opportunity and everything has worked out really nicely. They are going to open a call center in Logan and Andy is getting to head it up. We've always enjoyed working with Vivint and Andy told them if they found a way for him to work out of Logan he'd do it. It also gives him the time to build up his other business in his spare time so it's good and we feel really blessed.
