Oh my sweet, first baby boy turned 3! It feels like yesterday that I had him, yet it seems like we've had him forever. I love that boy! Don't know what we'd do without him. He is a talker...ALL THE TIME...I Kinda love to just listen to the things he says. Lately he always tells me, "I'm a good talker, huh mom." I love the way he says, "COOkie" Kind of like cookie monster says it. and lunch, punch,...kind of drawn out, neglecting the 'N' and making the 'ch' more of a 'sh'. He says "blood" so cute too. He replaces 'sm' and 'sp' with an 'f' and when I tell him he's a smarty pants he ALWAYS says, "NO, I'm not a farty pants." (I should probably record him saying these things).
More funny things he's said:
When we were staying in Provo,
O: Where are we?
M: Provo
O: No, we are on an adventure!
I told Owen we were going to the doctor's office and when we got there and the doctor walked in he said, "He look, i got new sandals, Dr. Office"
I was putting on my make-up and he came in and said, "Your eyes look beautiful, Mom"
He always says, "I got a bug" or "I got a itchy bug" when he itches (usually telling me where the bug is)
He says "it's ranging" when it rains
His latest way of getting out of doing something I ask or to get me to do something is by saying, "I can't mom, I've got a handful" (even if he has nothing in his hands)
When Grayson was learning to walk Owen said, "I wanna walk like Grayson" and then he'd take a few steps and fall on me, then climb up and give a kiss just like Gray was doing.
He always tells me to come and look at his "big banana poop" or "big dinosaur poop" (such a boy)
One night while talking to Andy he had this conversation:
O: Are you big?
A: Yeah I'm big
O: I gonna grow big and get big muscles and be a super hero! Saves the day!!
Bedtime conversation after being at my parent's:
O: I wanna call gramma
M: She's in bed
O: I wanna call grampa
M: He's in bed too
O: Ahhh....I miss them
He often tells me "Geezo, Don't freak out." (I think I say this a lot when he can't get his clothes on right and spazs out)
He hugs me often and tells me he misses me when I go to the gym. :)
I wish I could write EVERYTHING he says. It's usually good for a laugh, or at least a big smile.
He often tells me, "I'm a special boy" (He's a master at repeating things we say. The good and bad).
He is such an easy going child, most the time. And a good brother, most the time. He takes care of Grayson when they are left with a babysitter. He always says, "Oh he's so cute, huh mom." He's smart, and agile...kind of a monkey. He gets more daring every day. Sometimes I wonder how any child survives growing up. He's oh so polite. I have never met any kid with such good manners. He ALWAYS says please, thank you, bless you etc. A few sundays ago as we were leaving my mom's he went and said, "That for making me dinner, Wendy." So funny. And then as we started driving he said, "Thanks for taking me to play at grandma's, mom." This is not unusual. He always wants to say thank you when we leave places. Sometimes we have to get family to come out to the car before we leave just so he can say thank you again or he cries (we had to get Madi tonight so he could tell her specifically thank you for the toy lizard she gave him). I love that special boy of mine!
