BIRTHDAY BOY!

Owen is officially one year old!  We celebrated with a quiet, personal party.  Just mom, dad and Uncle Thomas.  He wasn't quite sure how to rip the paper on his present, but he love the drum, morocca, tamberine set we go him.  He LOVES drumming on everything.  Then we sang and gave him his cake.  He wasn't so sure about it at first.  He liked the candle mostly.  Then he got his hands in the frosting but did not want to eat it!  After dad went to work Owen and I went for a lil' walk around our complex and talked to the nicest man while looking at the fish in the pond.  And then some friends came to play and have cupcakes.
We couldn't be an happier with the lil' toddler we are raising!  He is such a sweet, content, happy boy.  He laughs at everything and smiles for everyone.  He rarely cries.  In the last few weeks he got his first two teeth.  He gives "five" and when you ask how big he is he raises his arms in the air and giggles while I say "SOOO big!" ...the cutest thing! Owen absolutely LOVES playing peek-a-boo! He learned to climb the stairs in ten seconds flat and is on the go all waking hours of the day.  It is exhausting but so much fun!  He loves to be thrown around and chased.  And loves the water whether it's in the tub, playing in the sink or at the pool!  He's a regular fish.  When he starts getting tired he gives hugs but that is about the only time he will.  He's a grazer when it comes to eating.  He eats little meals all day long.  Loves fruit, just like his mommy, corn, black beans, oatmeal, tofu, broccoli, crackers, cheerios, and many other things.  If only I ate like him...I'd be much healthier! We love you Owen!
