Birthday plans and other updates.

My baby is turning one tomorrow! I can hardly believe it.  I sit here as he naps, contemplating how to make his smash cake.  I'm not much of a cake maker by any means.  All my sweet friends are great at that kind of stuff and offered to help, but we moved to a different office, and they all went home so that is a no go.  It looks like for his birthday party it will just be Mom, Dad and Uncle Thomas. Not that it makes a difference since he isn't old enough to know any better. Hopefully we'll get some good pics of him eating his cake so that the rest of the fam can enjoy the fun to be had.  I'll try to get a post up after all the partying. 
As for our trip home, it was wonderful!!  After living in an apartment for the summer I truly appreciate how great our house is!  And it was so much fun to get to do all the fun activities with family.  We went on a few mountain bike rides.  Green canyon has an amazing bike trail! It's so fun!  Enjoyed lots of great food of course.  Watched the fireworks from our front porch while the babe slept peacefully in his own bed.  It was so fun to watch the fireworks together since we haven't done that since our first year or marriage.  Andy kind of thinks they are lame, but I think it is romantic!  Went to the Lewiston parade. We also lit our own fireworks after eating tinfoil dinners, Yum!  Went swimming and hung out with Owen's cousins. Had Owen's hair cut for the first time. Went to Willow park with one of my best friends, Aimee, and her cute girlies.  Owen loved the swing. Relaxed and then sadly got on a plane to come back to Indianapolis. I unfortunately didn't get many pics. I'm terrible at taking them since I got married.  Especially since Andy hates pictures.

It's not to bad where we live.  Lots of stores and what not close by. And my cousin Trefin and her family live half hour away so we get to go visit them which is fun since we haven't seen then since three years ago when they lived in NC and we were selling there.  However, I do hope the next 6 weeks go by quickly so we can get back to our beautiful Cache Valley.
