Owen

Disclaimer: Lots of mommy memory info, so if you aren't interested, move on now....

Owen is just getting more fun everyday. He's so smart and is learning new things everyday. Words he can say (of course only I understand) are: Thank you, Jesus, trees, bush, horse, fish, mama, dad, ball, shoes, apple (This one is clear as day), drink, pig, bellybutton, baby, cheese, Daxon (his cousin), grandma(said, "gamama"), grandpa (usually just "papa"), and he tries to mimic everything you say. He also knows and says the says for duck, dog, frog, sheep, lion (and anything that roars...like a bear), monkey, owl. He also points at EVERYTHING and says, "wuz dat?" (what's that). He also loves to say "hi" to everyone in his cute high pitched tone. Whenever our door chimes he says, "whos dat" or "dad?" and will run to the back door. He can identify all objects he knows how to say and a few other things like truck and dog. He finally will pet the dogs at grandma and grandpa's. The other day he was patting my mom's dog, Pepper, and saying "peppa"
You can ask him where his nose, bellybutton, and ears are and he'll point and he shows his tongue if you ask. He blows kisses (which looks like he's just licking his hand, because that's how he kisses, and forgets to throw it) and gives "five." He LOVES peek-a-boo and thinks it is so funny. He's so happy, laughs at everything and smiles at everyone. Still does "so big" and will sometimes hold up one finger when you ask how old he is. He use to be really good at this, but now always just lifts his arms for "so big."
He's such a climber! He can now get on the couch by himself and last month while I was picking up he got up and tried to climb over the top as fast as he could and went face first into the hardwood floor.  He has got a huge goose egg and a black eye! I felt so bad.  I'd told him a hundred times not to climb the back cushions. The pics don't do it justice. It was so bad. I was embarrassed to go into public for fear of someone calling child protective services.

Just after, mostly just swollen with a little coloring

Totally purple and blue

He got a lot of teeth all at the same time and I think he really enjoys them for eating :) Right now he's loving cheese, tomatoes and apples.  The first thing he says in the morning and then often throughout the day is "apple." He'll take a whole tomato and eat it like an apple and down the whole thing in minutes. He does not love milk, but he's getting better at drinking it with meals.
He was sleeping thru the night for a little bit and reverted back to waking every 3 hours so we are working on that again.
He loves to dance...and he always just stomps with one foot. It's so cute and funny. He also walks like a sumo wrestler with wide legs all the time. So funny. He thinks it's a funny game to push people over, help pull them back up and then push them over again.
He loves books. He'll just go sit with some books and "read" them out loud. He also will take our phones and hold it between his ear and shoulder and then jabber away. He holds a lot of things up between his ear and shoulder. Not sure why, but it's hilarious. I'm sure there are lots more things but I'll save them for another day.

Oh, his poor little eye! He's total boy. :) I don't think I've ever had a black eye.

That eye looked horrible! Poor thing! Hopefully he learned his lesson and he won't do that again. I can't believe how much he's talking. Isn't it such a fun age? And the high pitched voice is a heart melter for sure.
