August

The month of Birthdays...
If you don't recall, Owen was supposed to be born in August but came early. Then there is my sis-in-law, Arianne, Andy, Me, Grandma Flygare and Grayson.  I can't believe it is already mid-August. Andy just turned 31, I turned 28 (why does that seem so much older than 27?) and Grayson will be ONE next week!!! WHAT THE?

So for the first week of August my mom planned a trip to Bear Lake. We had a lot of fun just playing in the sun. We stayed at Ideal Beach and the condo did not have any air conditioning! AACKK...(we are spoiled) So, it was HOT. Especially when you only have a queen size bed and big dad, mom 3 year old and baby all sleeping in it. Seriously, it was the worst night ever. I didn't fall asleep til 4 am and Grayson starts waking up at 7. Andy couldn't hack it and drove home at 2 am just to sleep then came back up the next morning. But we survived. Saturday we played around the resort and then went over to Thomas's in-laws cabin to eat and go boating. It was super choppy water when we went out so Andy and I just did the wakeboard for a minute and then went on the tube. We were flying around like a rag dolls and laughing out guts out it was so fun. Sunday we went to Minnetonka cave because Andy had never been and then played and floated around in the water. Most everyone (Dad, Andy, me and the boys, Jake, Monica and Kylee) went home Sunday night but Thomas and Kristie came over from her families place for the rest of the week. Owen and Gray enjoyed playing at the park on the swings and slides. Gray LOVED the water, Owen liked it but was a little more skittish because it was cold. Monday me and the boys stayed home and went back on Tuesday. My uncle Alan came up and ended up renting a wave runner so we rode that for a little bit. I even took Owen out on it and he liked it. I kept asking if he wanted to go in and he always said NO.  Andy came back up on Thursday and we rented a wave runner. It was SO much fun. first we took out Owen and then Kylee, Madi and Whitney. But the water was getting a little rough so they didn't ride long. We were gonna have it for 2 hours but a storm was blowing in and we ended up taking it in after only one. But because of the wind the waves were HUGE and Andy and I had a BLAST! We would switch off who drove because it is way more scary being the passenger. We were catching some serious air off the waves. I wish we had pictures of it. We packed up and everyone went home that night. We had lots of yummy food (thanks to my mom for cooking every day) and Lots of Raspberry shakes (how can you not when in Bear Lake) Good company and lots of fun. It was so nice for my mom to put it together. I know it was a lot of work for her.

When Andy and I weren't out at the water they let our tube get away and the wind blew it clear out into the lake and they tried to chase it. Finally some jet-skiiers picked it up and my mom then chased them down to get it back.

Owen has decided to never cooperate or look at the camera for pics.

Andy's birthday fell on Sunday so we did the usual of going to church and then to Brigham for dinner. I got him tickets to see Ray Romano and Kevin James in Vegas in October! We are soooo excited for the trip. I told Andy's mom about it so she ended up getting us a hotel room at Tahiti Village and it looks awesome. It's UEA weekend so his parents are going to come too so we can take the kids and have a babysitter for the shows. We are thinking about going to a cirque de solei or criss angel or some other show too. On  my birthday, Monday, I woke up and got myself a nice bowl of cheerios (Andy had to work) and hung out being lazy with the boys all day. At 4 MaryLee came and got the boys so I could go to Zumba with Stacee. Then, I was able to get ready all by myself in peace and Andy took me out to a delicious dinner at Elements. I LOVE that restaurant. YUM. We picked up the boys, they fell asleep in the car on the way home, Andy and I watched some shows together and went to bed. It was a very nice day. Today we are going out to do the slide and have dinner for MaryLee's birthday. Fun times for sure.
