January-October 2015

Ok, so the first few months of the year we didn't do a whole lot because I was so sick. My mom or mother-in-law took the boys almost everyday so that I could just sit and be sick by myself. I was grateful for the help!
How I looked most days for the first half of the year

February
The most noteworthy things I can remember from February was taking the boys to see the baby bunnies at one of Stacee's friend's farm. They loved them. They were very cute. And Andy took Owen to an Aggie's basketball game.  He loved it! Andy said he was searching for Big Blue most the time and Owen said his favorite part was riding on the bus to the stadium. Oh and we had a couples game night/dinner with our ward friends, Bundy's, Casey's, Coats and Stocking's, which is always a good time! It was a progressive dinner so we started at the Coats', then moved to Casey's and ended at Bundy's. we had a dinner course and a game at each house.

March
Owen started the 8 Week Little Grizz preschool at Logan High. He was so excited and loved going for the first few weeks. He'd get out and run to the teachers without looking back. But then I think he got burned out and felt left out and would cry everyday because he didn't want to go but at the end of the day always said he had fun.

He jumped and face planted into dad's whipped cream. He thought about crying til we showed him and he thought it was hilarious.

20 Weeks Pregnant

April
We celebrated Easter. Grandma Kano came and helped us dye eggs one day and then go roll them down the Old Main Hill. And she brought the boys kites which they thought was pretty fun. We had crazy Utah weather of course. One day it snowed a ton and three days later it was totally gone and warm and sunny again. Owen also played his first season of soccer. He was super excited about it, but once he actually started playing games he wouldn't play and just sat out or stood in the middle of the field. He kept saying "they won't let me get the ball." It's hard to understand being aggressive when you are always told to share haha.  He had a few moments when he got into it and really went for it and did great, but mostly didn't want to play. I think team sports are hard at such a young age. But he got a trophy at the end of the season and he was pleased as punch about that.

Not so happy about it anymore

May
We went to California for a week to take the kids to Disneyland! We bought a minivan right before so we could drive in comfort. They boys were elated to be going. We woke up early to start our drive and the were so excited that they stayed awake for the first 3 hours. They slept and were entertained by movies most of the time so they did really well and we made it there with minimal stops and made good time. Grandma and grandpa Flygare, Stacee, Daxon and Mary Demille also came ans we stayed at the Dolphin Cove timeshare which was nice and close to Disneyland. The first day we went to Huntington Beach. It ended up being really windy and not warm so the boys didn't get in the water at all. Except for when Owen walked down to get wet sand and got to close and wave knocked him down. He was not happy and wanted to go home after that. Grayson had a ball playing in the sand. The second day we went to Disneyland. The boys were so excited! Grayson couldn't do a lot because he's too little but Owen could do quite a bit. We were able to do parent passes so Andy would take Owen, get a pass then all three of us could go right to the front and go again while the Flygare's watched Grayson. Owen's favorite ride was Splash Mountain. He got soaked but loved it. On day 3 we just hung out and swam in the pool at the hotel. Owen was loving it. It was a little chilly but there was a hot tub. Owen was floating with a noodle by himself when I came down and he let go and couldn't grab it. I seemed to be the only one moving for him, even though I was pregnant, so I ripped my dress off and jumped in haha. Day 4 we went to California Adventure. The kids were pretty tired by this day so it wasn't quite as exciting. We decided to wait to watch the World of Color show that night and Owen was so excited, but in order to have a decent spot to see we sat in one spot for almost two hours. So by the time the show started Owen was ready to go home. He turned to Andy and said, "Dad, where'd you park the car?" Then he'd get interested in a part of the show, then want to leave again. The last day we just hung out and went for lunch then went a played mini golf, which the boys loved and we visited one of my friends and one of Andy's friends. It was fun to see them.
When we got home Owen had his preschool graduation and was so cute. He of course sat next to his friend, Tony. They sang songs and talked about each kid. It was cute. And he had his last soccer game.

A wave knocked him down...not so happy

On the drive to Cali. He always had to have his kitties

June
Normal summer stuff happened. We took the boys fishing a couple times. Owen really liked it. More so at the fish hatchery than up the canyon (because we got nothing in the canyon and TONS at the hatchery, obviously).

Brotherly Love

How Gray likes to sleep

July
July is always fun. Leigh and Mark are the only ones that came for the 4th this year. But they are always fun to visit with. On the 2nd we went up to Tony's Grove and had tinfoil dinners and fished around the lake. The 3rd was the Logan fireworks. The 4th we set up the slide at the Flygare's and everyone, but me of course, had a blast. We also spent a day at the pool and Grayson discovered the joy of having a life jacket and floating around. Owen also took two rounds of swimming lessons and is a little fish in the water. He can dive to the bottom and pick up toys and one day he jumped off the diving board and swam all the way to the other end by himself!
For Owen's birthday we did the water slide. It's becoming a tradition. He even told Grandpa Flygare to set it up for his birthday (which is in November). We mostly had family but also invited Owen's friend, Bentlee Preece, and her family. We also rented a bounce house/slide and had a bbq. Owen decorated his own "rainbow cake" and it was very cute. It's hard to believe he is already 5 years old. He's growing up too fast and way too smart for me! He is a good helper and really loves his brother and sister. He's so kind and thoughtful of others. And he is learning to read all on his own!
Some other fun things we did was go bowling and to a fun little kids water park in Ogden (maybe not the smartest idea since I was so far dilated and effaced, but we did it and it was fun).

I took this picture because Owen told me I "looked fancy" HAHA

August
Oh August...what a month!  Most exciting event was the birth of Holland. She was a great early birthday present for Andy and me. We didn't go out, obviously, but Andy's family brought us a cake to celebrate.
Before all that excitement we had taken the boys to the Cache County Fair. They had an elephant there and the boys got to ride on it! Pretty cool for them. The next week we celebrated Grayson's 3rd birthday by going out to eat at Texas Roadhouse and having family over for presents and cake.
The boys had no problem adjusting to having a new baby. And it has been a lot easier for me having 3 kids than it was having 2 and being pregnant so that was a relief. I was quite nervous. They love her so much, she is often smothered in loving pats on the head and kisses.
The last week of August Owen started preschool twice a week at a home just down the road from us. He is enjoying it a lot and is learning a lot too. Bentlee is in his class too so that his fun for him. And Lindsey is so nice and picks up Owen to and from school on Thursdays so I don't have to pack everyone in the car.

September
September went by without anything too notable besides lots of snuggling the sweet baby and one lil' outing up the Stokes Nature Center Trail. Oh and we also went to Wolf Creek for the weekend with all of my family and we finally got to meet Thomas' baby boy, Cooper. He is 3 months older than Holland. And we also got to meet Kara's little girl that is one week younger than Holland. And the boys had their yearly check up. Before we went Owen asked about getting shots and Grayson said "I want a shot" And it was the first thing he said to the nurse when we got there. When they did get their shots Owen cried forever, the Grayson got his and just said, "OW! That hurt." And that was it. He's so funny and has the highest pain tolerance.

October
This month was filled with fun. Holland started to smile which is the cutest thing ever. She has the best little dimples and I adore them.
We also blessed Holland. Andy gave a wonderful blessing and she was perfect all day. I was a little stressed to start off because I had bought a cute lace dress for her but never put it on her til that morning. Well the cut was way too low in front and I thought it looked silly with a shirt underneath so I panicked and called Lindsey Preece to borrow her babies blessing dress. It was beautiful but it was so poofy and scratchy so I couldn't hold Holland comfortably and she just kept screaming so I took it off and remembered I had the dress I was blessed in. It wasn't super fancy and not my first choice so I was sad, but I put it on her and she looked adorable. I ended up really liking it and it had sentiment since it was my dress too. Afterward our families came over for lunch. We had a bunch of soups and rolls and yummy side dishes.
We spent a day at the Willow Zoo/Park with my high school friends and their kids. That was an adventure and so fun to catch up with them. Between the 4 of us we had 14 Children! It was so funny because by the time we were getting finished Kara and Aimee's kids were tired and fussy. Jess's kids were fighting and my kids were hugging each other while a worker showed them a little owl. I was quite impressed myself.
Once day Andy took the kids on a 4-wheeler ride up to Elk Ridge Park and saw that the Pumpkin Walk was open so I drove up with Holland and we walked thru. It was the best time to go. No one was there and it wasn't too cold and we could just walk and enjoy at our own pace. Then we took the boys to play on the toys for a little bit before heading home.
We carved pumpkins one day. Owen drew his own face and started carving on his own (I helped finish because it would have taken all night). But then he was mad because he said "it looks silly and I wanted it to look scary."
And of course we celebrated Halloween. We spent the whole day cleaning out the garden but then we got dressed up and went out trick-or-treating. Owen was Baymax from Big Hero 6 and Grayson was "a robot", Optimus Prime to be exact. Holland was just a cutie in her Halloween outfit. The boys were pros this year, although Gray's little legs got tired from running with the big boys. Grandma and Grandpa Kano and Grandma Flygare came which was fun.
